Job Overview: To provide supervision, leadership, and direction, ensuring safe, efficient operations and a high-quality patient care experience.
Key Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
- Accountable for the coordination of nursing services in the assigned clinical area (endoscopy or infusion)
- Practices within the scope of the Ohio Nurse Practice Act and approved Center policies and procedures
- Responsible for daily operations of the assigned clinical area (endoscopy or infusion)
- Ensures operational efficiency through monitoring staffing needs, schedules, and patient load
- Ensures safe and efficient patient flow within the procedure area or infusion suite
- Responsible for direct patient care: assess the physical and psychosocial status of patients to provide optimal care pre-, during-, and post-procedure or throughout the infusion experience
- Direct staff in patient care activities of the assigned clinical area
- Support and guide nursing staff in delivering patient care within procedural settings or infusion care delivery
- Promotes and supports patient/family-centered care
- Maintains a safe environment for patient care during procedures or infusion therapy
- Ensures compliance with AAAHC accreditation standards, CMS regulations, and all applicable standards of nursing practice
- Implements updated policies as directed by the Director of Nursing
- May receive daily clinical direction from assigned leadership or physicians
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist Manager in maintaining medications, supplies, and emergency equipment
- Ensure daily facility checklists are complete
- Coordinate with other locations to manage patient load and staffing needs
- Oversee weekly staff schedules and assignments
- Participate in training, development, and orientation of staff
- Acts as a liaison and resource for staff
- Maintains patient confidentiality and privacy standards
- Communicates effectively with all members of the healthcare team
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current license to practice in the State of Ohio
- Minimum of three years recent and relevant clinical experience
- Current ACLS & BLS certification required
- Knowledgeable in gastroenterological nursing or infusion therapy in an ambulatory care setting
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Physical Requirements
- Meets physical demands defined as HEAVY work
- Ability to lift, move, and assist patients and equipment as required
Work Environment
- Works in a clinical environment supporting procedural services or infusion services
- Exposure to standard healthcare conditions and equipment
