     RESPONSIBILITIES AND DETAILS:

    • This is a full-time employed position with Baptist Health Sciences University, an integral part of the Baptist Memorial Healthcare Corporation.
    • Provide oversight and direction for the Department of Clinical Sciences faculty and staff in planning, developing and implementing the College's curriculum.
    • Supervise and evaluate the performance of the Department of Clinical Sciences faculty and staff annually, develop a culture of excellence, continuous improvement and advancement for each of the faculty members.
    • Demonstrate adaptability and the willingness to assist the university and college in fulfilling its mission and vision through teaching, academic administrative duties (course/system coordinator), providing patient care, and community service and/or performing special duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

    • Terminal degree (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine) with current Board Certification in a Primary care Specialty of Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Pediatrics.
    • Demonstrated leadership, productivity, and administrative experience in clinical, professional, research or educational settings. Seven years (7) academic experience as a full-time faculty member at a College of Osteopathic Medicine or seven years (7) experience as a full-time faculty member in a Graduate Medical Education program.
    • Must have an active medical license and be eligible to be board certified by AOA or ABMS. Eligible for coverage by college's malpractice insurer if applicable.
