Job Details

**Chief Financial Officer – Confidential Private Equity-Backed Opportunity**

A private equity-backed company is confidentially evaluating experienced CFO candidates to lead its finance function and serve as a strategic partner to the CEO, ownership and Board. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for a commercially minded CFO who can combine strong financial management with operational leadership and a focus on business performance.

**Responsibilities:**

* Lead the company's overall financial strategy, planning and execution.
* Partner with the CEO, Board and ownership on strategic planning, growth initiatives and value creation.
* Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, FP&A, cash flow and financial controls.
* Drive EBITDA improvement, margin expansion and working-capital optimization.
* Develop and implement meaningful financial and operational KPIs.
* Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, reporting and overall financial infrastructure.
* Support acquisitions, due diligence and post-acquisition integration as applicable.
* Provide actionable financial analysis to support operational and strategic decisions.
* Build, develop and lead a high-performing finance and accounting team.
* Present financial results, forecasts and recommendations to senior leadership and the Board.
* Serve as a hands-on business partner who can identify opportunities and translate financial data into operational results.

**Ideal Candidate:**

* Proven CFO or senior finance leadership experience, preferably within a lower-middle-market or private equity-backed organization.
* Demonstrated success improving EBITDA, cash flow, profitability and operational performance.
* Experience partnering with CEOs, Boards, ownership groups and/or private equity sponsors.
* Strong background in FP&A, forecasting, financial reporting and cash management.
* Experience with acquisitions, integrations, ERP implementations or finance transformation is highly valued.
* A hands-on, commercially oriented leader who is comfortable both setting strategy and rolling up their sleeves to execute.
* Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to build teams and influence across the organization.
