Our client is a growing, mission-driven organization that has undergone significant transformation over the past several years-expanding services, increasing revenue, and developing increasingly sophisticated healthcare reimbursement and funding streams. With continued growth on the horizon, they are looking for a hands-on, strategic CFO who can help shape what comes next.
What You'll Do
- Serve as a key member of the Executive and Leadership Teams, partnering closely with the CEO and other senior leaders.
- Lead financial strategy, planning, budgeting, forecasting, modeling, and long-term financial sustainability efforts.
- Provide leadership with meaningful financial analysis that supports growth and operational decision-making.
- Oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, month-end/year-end close, cash management, internal controls, and compliance.
- Provide financial oversight of a complex healthcare revenue cycle, including reimbursement, accounts receivable, collections, revenue recognition, and third-party billing partners.
- Lead annual operating and capital budgeting and provide ongoing variance and scenario analysis.
- Prepare and communicate financial information to executive leadership, the Board, auditors, financial partners, and other stakeholders.
- Oversee nonprofit financial reporting requirements, audits, Form 990 preparation, grants, contracts, and restricted funding.
- Lead and develop a small, experienced accounting and billing team.
- Partner across the organization to improve processes, reporting, systems, and financial visibility as the organization continues to grow.
What They're Looking For
Key qualifications include:
- 8+ years of progressive financial management experience.
- Strong healthcare finance experience highly preferred.
- Experience working with complex revenue and reimbursement streams.
- Nonprofit accounting and revenue recognition experience is a significant plus.
- Experience overseeing or partnering with revenue cycle, medical billing, or third-party billing functions is highly desirable.
- Strong budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and analytical capabilities.
- Proven ability to lead, develop, and build relationships with accounting and finance teams.
- Ability to communicate financial information effectively to executives, operational leaders, and Board members.
- Advanced financial education/credentials such as an MBA, relevant master's degree, and/or CPA.
- A leadership style that combines approachability and relationship-building with accountability and follow-through.
