Description

Overview:

We are looking for an Interim CFO for our client on a project basis. This role is on-site in Laytonsville, MD.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide interim CFO leadership and maintain stability across all finance activities during leadership transition.
  • Lead preparation of board packages, financial presentations, forecasts, performance commentary, and decision-support materials.
  • Improve forecasting accuracy and strengthen forward-looking financial insights for management and sponsors.
  • Coordinate the annual budgeting process, including assumptions, reviews, approvals, and stakeholder alignment
  • Partner with executive leadership to translate financial results into operational priorities and business actions.
  • Oversee monthly close and financial reporting processes, ensuring timely and accurate execution through the controller and accounting team.

 

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, or other related fields
  • Prior experience working with HVAC, plumbing, home services, or other field-service organizations is highly preferred, including exposure to multi-location operations, service-driven revenue models, and the key financial and operational drivers of those businesses.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience  
  • Qualified applicants must reside in the continental U.S. 
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
