Overview
Respiratory Therapist – Registered Respiratory Therapist travel assignment in Hilo, Hawaii. Start date 10/05/2026 for 15 weeks. Weekly pay range $2,015–$2,130 per week. Night shift, three 12-hour shifts weekly (1830–0700). Hospital setting with a travel - temporary assignment. No guaranteed hours. Eligible for a 15-week contract with the option to extend based on need and performance.

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive airway management, including ventilator and non-invasive ventilation support
- Monitor and adjust ventilator settings; perform weaning and respond to changes in patient respiratory status
- Deliver prescribed respiratory therapies, administer medications, and assist with bronchodilator and mucus clearance therapies
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team; respond to CPR and all aspects of respiratory care as needed
- Care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients; document progress and outcomes in charting systems
- Utilize and troubleshoot equipment common to the unit, including ventilators and related devices; ensure patient safety and infection control standards
Requirements
- Active State of Hawaii Respiratory Therapy License
- BLS, PALS, and ACLS required
- Minimum 2 years of relevant clinical experience
- Ability to care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations
- RRT preferred; NRP preferred
- Must arrive the Thursday before the start date to attend employee health clearance
- No first assignments
