Preference Employment Solutions is confidentially recruiting for a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) for an organization based in Oakes, North Dakota. This position will require extensive knowledge of welding processes, standards, and practices.
Type of Position: Full Time Direct Hire
Schedule: Monday-Thursday: 6am-4: 30pm, Friday: 6am-12: 00pm
Compensation: $30 - $38 DOE Hourly

Position Overview:
Complete thorough weld inspection ensuring compliance with industry standards and company specifications
Monitor and review welding procedures and practices to ensure they meet quality and safety requirements
Document non-conformances and recommendation corrective actions
Collaborate with engineering and production on welding issues and solutions
Support development and review of welding procedures, specifications, and standards
Characteristics of a Successful Candidate:
Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification from the American Welding Society (AWS) or equivalent
In-depth knowledge of welding processes, materials, and quality assurance practices
Proficiency in interpreting welding codes and standards (AWS D1.1 and ASME Section IX for example)
