Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist

Dunn’s Therapies is seeking Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialists (CTRS)/ Therapeutic Recreation Specialist/Texas Certified (TRS/TXC) or individuals eligible for certification to provide individualized, client-centered therapy services in home and community-based settings across the Houston metro area.

This role offers a flexible, autonomy-driven alternative to traditional hospital or facility-based positions, allowing you to focus on meaningful, one-on-one care while maintaining control over your schedule.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver evidence-based recreation therapy interventions
• Collaborate with families and care teams to support client outcomes
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation

Requirements

• Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) or Therapeutic Recreation Specialist/Texas Certified (TRS/TXC)
• Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Therapy or related field
• Experience with special needs or behavioral health populations preferred
• Current CPR certification
• Professional liability insurance
• Reliable transportation
