Contract Length: Approximately 120 days
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years perioperative/CVOR experience
- Required specialty experience: Cardiac, Vascular, Endovascular, Thoracic
- Heart transplant experience highly preferred
- Required certifications: CSFA, NBSTSA, or NCCSA
- Basic mandatory: BLS
- Charting system: Epic (preferred)
- GA or Compact license must be in hand at the time of submittal
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist in surgical procedures within the scope of practice.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor patient vitals and respond to changes during procedures.
- Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to safety protocols.
- Document surgical procedures and outcomes accurately.
- Participate in patient evaluations and case discussions pre- and post-surgery.
Compliance / Notes
- Call: Approximately 1 day/week and 1 weekend every 4 weeks
- RTO: Maximum 7 days; must be submitted with candidate
- Orientation/modules: Non-billable; NBO hours determined by contract length
- Compliance document deadline: Tuesday prior to start
- COVID-19 vaccine: Not required; Flu vaccine: unknown
