Shift Hours

• flexible shifts - days, afternoons, midnights as well as call shifts midnights, weekends, holidays

Schedule Notes

• Certifications: BLS and CST• Education: Graduate of a formal surgical technologist program
• Min. yrs of exp: 2+• Schedule: flexible shifts - 0700-1930, 1100-2330, 1900-0730 and call shifts
• Must be flexible on schedule as they may work any of the listed shifts
• Block Scheduling: No
• On Call: Yes
• Must have Cardiac Scrub experience
• They need to come in and be able to operate independently

Job Summary

The CVOR Tech performs a variety of technical duties to assist in preparing and caring for pre-operative patients. The technician must have cardiac scrub experience and be able to operate independently..

Key Responsibilities

• Perform technical duties to assist with the preparation and care of pre-operative patients.

• Provide technical support in the cardiovascular operating room.

• Perform cardiac scrubbing duties independently.

• Adapt to flexible shift assignments and participate in on-call coverage as required.

Qualifications

Required

• Graduate of a formal Surgical Technologist program.

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience.

• Must have cardiac scrub experience.

• Must be able to operate independently.

• Must be flexible to work any of the listed shifts.

Required Certification & Licensure

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST).

• Basic Life Support (BLS).

Working Conditions

Position may be based in a hospital or ambulatory/mobile imaging setting. Exposure to radiation, high-voltage equipment, and infectious diseases is possible with appropriate safety precautions. Position may require assisting with patient transfers and moving equipment.
