Certified Surg Technologist 4- Main Operating Room

The Certified Surgical Technologist 4 is a vital member of the surgical team, working under the supervision of a licensed professional while taking on advanced leadership responsibilities in patient care. As an expert practitioner, the Certified Surgical Technologist 4 performs complex tasks in the perioperative setting, ensuring a sterile environment, equipment functionality, and supporting both invasive and non-invasive procedures to optimize patient safety. This role requires in0depth knowledge of aseptic techniques, human anatomy, surgical tools, and advanced surgical practices, all executed in alignment with the mission and values of Tampa General Hospital.

• Graduate of Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) Surgical Technology Program or Military Surgical Program
• CST from national board of surgical technology and surgical assisting or Tech in Surgery (TS-C) from national center for competency testing
• Must have a minimum of 5 years surgical experience with demonstrated advanced proficiency in 10 or more surgical specialties
