Employment Screening Requirements: As part of Sarasota Memorial Health Care System’s commitment to keeping people safe, all individuals providing care to vulnerable populations are required to undergo background screening through The Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse. Required Qualifications: - Require active national Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification.

Job Summary:

The Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) functions in a scrub role for operative and other invasive procedures including establishing and maintaining a sterile field, specimen handling, counts, medications/solutions, implants and instrument processing and may assist with circulating duties, as well as, participate in activities related to standards and quality improvement for the specialty and the department.

Required Qualifications:

- Require active national Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Prefer knowledgeable of selected specialty.
- Prefer ability in one-on-one demonstration of sterile technique.

Required License and Certs:

BLS: Basic Life Support/CPR
CST: Certified Surg Technologist
