Position Summary:

Joining our Dental Department, the Certified Sterilization Technician will join our Bronx Federally Qualified Health Center. The Sterilization Tech will maintain quality assurance standards, ensure approved infection control, and uphold dental department policy and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of related sterilization experience (may include internships)
• Certificate required including: Sterile Processing Technician; Certified Registered Central Service Technician, CBSPD, or CS/SPD.
• Familiarity with dental terminology and operating sterile processing equipment.
• Computer proficiency

Key Duties:

• Collects, cleans, decontaminates, disinfects, and sterilizes dental instruments/trays/packs.
• Sterilizes reusable dental instruments, devices, and equipment.
• Maintains logs and inventories. Re-stocks and distributed instruments and supplies as needed.
• Ensures effective transportation of instruments between pediatric and adult dental clinics.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Compensation: Minimum: $24.75/hour ($51,480 annually); Maximum: $24.75/hour ($51,480 annually )

Work Environment Type, Location, and Schedule:

The Sterilization Technician will be working onsite based out of our Bronx based health center, El Nuevo San Juan working Tuesday - Saturday 8:00am - 5:00pm.
