    The Obstetrical Technician provides patient care under the direct supervision of the Physician and the Registered Nurse. The Obstetrical Technician demonstrates responsibility and accountability in selecting, assembling, testing, and operating equipment and instruments in accordance with policies and procedures. The Obstetrical Technician is responsible and accountable in performing as a primary scrub person handling the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the obstetrical procedure while applying principles of sterile technique. The Obstetrical Technician contributes to expected patient outcomes.

    Qualifications

    Education: High School or GED

    License/Certifications:

    • BLS
    • ACLS
    • PALS
    • NBSTS
