In collaboration with anesthesiologists, surgeons and other physicians to deliver anesthesia for medical and surgical procedures, the CRNA has a strong focus on safe patient care and upholds the mission of the Connecticut Children's.
Education and/or Experience Required:
License and/or Certification Required:
License as a Registered Nurse in the state of Connecticut.
Specialty license as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist in the state of Connecticut.
Certification or Recertification by The National Board on Certification of Nurse Anesthesia, NBCRNA.
PALS.
Assess and evaluate all patients according to their specific age development stage and diagnosis.
Recommends, requests, and evaluates pertinent diagnostic studies and documents pre-anesthetic evaluation.
Educate patients about surgery, recovery and obtains informed consent for anesthesia.
Selects and/or administers pre-anesthetic medications.
