Job Summary

Administers anesthesia and provides anesthesia-related care to patients across the pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative periods. Conducts pre-anesthetic assessments, develops and implements the anesthetic plan, and manages the airway and hemodynamic status throughout the procedure. Provides post-anesthesia evaluation and management of complications.

Education & Experience

• Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia educational program: Required
• Master's or Doctoral degree in Nurse Anesthesia: Required

Licenses & Certifications

• Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) certification: Required
• Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification: Required

Key Responsibilities

• Perform pre-anesthetic assessment and develop an individualized anesthetic plan.
• Administer general, regional, monitored and local anesthesia as indicated.
• Manage the patient's airway, ventilation and hemodynamic status throughout the procedure.
• Monitor and interpret physiologic parameters and respond to intra-operative complications.
• Provide post-anesthesia care, evaluation and pain management.
• Maintain accurate anesthesia records and participate in on-call coverage as scheduled.
