Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA)The Certified Recovery Advocate shall work with the Residential Program Manager and other staff to help sustain an active recovery community. Qualifications:Peers use their shared personal lived experience to promote client's recovery, offering support, advocacy, and skill development opportunities. Participate with clients face-to-face in the Residences and in the community. Some documentation of services provided is a component of this work. Ability to model behavior consistent with the mission of Addictions Care Center of Albany.Excellent organizational skills; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Must work a flexible schedule (including some evenings and weekends). Some travel required.Other responsibilities/tasks as assigned by the Program Manager.Knowledge Required: Successful recovery from addictions for at least three years preferred. Peers must be certified Education Requirements: At least one (1) year work experience in an OASAS licensed facility. Certification as a Recovery Peer Advocate-CRPA (substance use) and High School graduate or GED.Current valid driver's licenseThis position is full-time.
