    Description

    Adelphi is seeking a Certified Radiologic Technologist to provide services at a correctional facility in Leavenworth, Kansas. The ideal candidate will perform routine diagnostic imaging examinations for the institution’s patient population, operate Government-furnished radiographic equipment, maintain accurate clinical documentation, and comply with applicable professional, radiation-safety, infection-control, privacy, and correctional-security requirements.

    Requirements:
    • Current ARRT certification (Radiography) and licensure in the State of Kansas
    • Minimum of three years of relevant professional experience as a Radiologic Technologist

    Responsibilities:
    • Perform routine diagnostic imaging examinations as ordered by authorized medical personnel.
    • Operate x-ray and radiographic equipment in accordance with manufacturer instructions, professional standards, and institutional procedures.
    • Verify patient identity and properly position patients for radiologic examinations.
    • Explain imaging procedures and positioning requirements to patients to reduce anxiety and encourage cooperation.
    • Produce diagnostic-quality radiographic images, and review images for proper positioning, exposure, and overall image quality.
    • Follow applicable radiation-safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and self from excessive exposure.
    • Conduct routine operational checks of radiologic equipment and promptly report suspected equipment deficiencies or malfunctions to Health Services personnel.
    • Maintain accurate records of examinations, imaging procedures, patient information, workload, and other required documentation.
    • Support the daily operation of the radiology clinic.
    • Communicate relevant clinical information to authorized Health Services personnel.
    • Follow the facility's Health Services Manual, institutional procedures, and Health Services Department policies.
    • Maintain professional and appropriate interactions with patients in a secure correctional environment.
    • Immediately report inmate rule violations, security concerns, or unusual incidents to appropriate Government personnel.
    • Maintain open communication with the Clinical Director, Health Services Administrator, and Contracting Officer’s Representative.
    • Any other duties as assigned.
