Become a vital part of the City of Hampton's Police Division as a School Resource Officer (SRO), where your work will make a meaningful impact in the lives of students and staff. We're seeking certified law enforcement professionals who are committed to fostering a safe, secure, and positive learning environment within Hampton City Schools. As a School Resource Officer, you will patrol an assigned district during one of three shifts, enforcing City of Hampton and Commonwealth of Virginia laws and ordinances. Your presence in the schools will be integral to maintaining safety and building trust with students, staff, and families. In addition to patrol duties, you'll serve as a mentor, educator, and liaison between the Police Division and the school community.
