  • Starting pay is based on experience, skills, and equity; exceptions may apply for highly qualified candidates. Additional pay (e.g., shift, on‑call, or weekend differentials) and benefits may apply. Annual pay may vary based on FTE status.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Medication Orders - Performs unit dose preparation for cartfill and first doses. Non-sterile, non-hazard dose preparation for first fill or cartfill including preparation of oral syringes from liquid dosage forms. Delivery of patient specific doses. Prepare and perform ADC replenishment. Performs outpatient phone triage. Performs insurance adjudication. Performs medication storage inspections.

  • Compounding - Performs Sterile compounding or non-sterile hazardous compounding.

  • Tech Check Tech - Under authorized program is able to check the work of another pharmacy technician.

  • Medication Management - Manages medication doses on the nursing unit in decentralized pharmacy operations.

  • Phone Triage - Performs inpatient phone triage

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 2+ year of work experience in a Pharmacy Technician discipline

  • Must be PTCB certified and OH Board of Pharmacy certified

  • Other National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) is required. Approved certification is through Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PCTB) and ExCPT Certification by the National Healthcareer Association.

PREFERRED

  • Previous experience working as a Pharmacy Tech in a hospital environment

Additional compensation is paid for second shift and weekend rotations.
