Certified Pharmacy Technician II - Full Time, Day Shift

Under the supervision of a Pharmacist:

• Responsible for drug distribution services
• Order processing functions
• The preparation of pharmaceutical doses
• Clerical functions
• Monthly unit floor inspections
• Departmental section checks to maintain adequate inventory levels of in-date pharmaceuticals on nursing units and the pharmacy department

Must also:

• Maintain the required professional and hospital competencies for a State Certified Pharmacy Technician
• Assist with performance improvement activities
• Perform any other job related duties as requested by a pharmacist or pharmacy management

Must be currently certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB), and registered in good standing as a "State Certified Pharmacy Technician" with the SC Board of Pharmacy. (This requires being a graduate of an approved Pharmacy Technician program and by having submitted documentation for their required number of work experience hours as a pharmacy technician or having met requirements to be grandfathered in by 2004).

Must have basic typing skills and a working knowledge of computers and equipment utilized in the preparation, repackaging, dispensing and distribution of pharmaceutical products.
