The Staff Pad is proud to partner with a respected hospital in Las Vegas, NM, to hire an organized and professional Certified Pharmacy Technician for a hospital-based role with rotating shifts, weekends, and holiday coverage.
Under the direction of a licensed pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician supports medication preparation, distribution, and inventory management.
Schedule: Full-Time | Days
What You’ll Do
- Assist with medication preparation, dispensing, delivery, labeling, storage and recordkeeping
- Manage pharmacy inventory, supplies, ordering, receiving, and medication restocking
- Compound sterile and non-sterile preparations in compliance with safety standards
- Support insurance processing and prior authorizations as directed
- Operate and maintain pharmacy automation systems and equipment
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain regulatory compliance
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Completion of Pharmacy Technician training program preferred
- Current New Mexico Pharmacy Technician license (or eligibility to obtain)
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) preferred
- 1+ year of previous hospital or clinical pharmacy experience
Additional Requirements
- Knowledge of medical terminology and Medications
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Strong communication, organizational, computer skills & attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
