    Responsibilities

    About the Central Fill Pharmacy: This state-of-the-art, highly automated processing center will handle high prescription volumes efficiently.

    It will support:

    • Onsite patient pickup

    • Fulfillment of non-urgent prescriptions for patient pickup at our other retail pharmacy sites

    • Direct-to-home prescription delivery

    Responsibilities:

    • Supports & assists the Pharmacist in the medication use process by providing safe and efficient medication management & patient care to patients (neonate to geriatric), physicians, employees, and the public.

    • Requires following appropriate guidelines under the supervision of the pharmacist for medication preparation and distribution.

    • Functions in an environment which requires teamwork and flexibility to provide medications to patients.

    • Responsibilities include assisting the pharmacist with the dispensing of medications, maintaining medications in unit-based cabinets, taking verbal refill approvals from provider's offices, insurance verification, working with technology, and deliveries of medications.

    • Processes, fills, packages and distributes prescriptions for multi-site deliveries

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • Active National Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)

    AND one of:

    • Pharmacy Technician (PHT), KY OR Pharmacy Intern (PHI), KY

    Desired:

    • 1 year experience working in pharmacy.

    • High School Diploma or GED
