Essential Job Functions: Assists in the preparation, mixing, assembling, packaging and labeling of medications. Processes routine order of stock supplies. Assists in the filling of prescription medication orders that entail counting, pouring, labeling and reconstituting medications. Performs computer data entry, typing of labels, maintenance of dispensing records. Repackaging of medications to be verified by a pharmacist. Assists in inventory control. Assists in processing return of medications in will-call areas. Knowledge of third party prescription billing/adjudication and maintenance. Participates in the general upkeep and cleanliness of pharmacy and drug storage areas. Serve the consultant pharmacist for clinic drug storage area inspections as assigned by Director of Pharmacy Assure medications filled by pharmacy are sent to the correct clinic for patients Perform the duties of Certified Pharmacy Technician as mandated by New Mexico Board of Pharmacy law. Supports EEO and QI policies established standards of Ben Archer Health Center. Work in a culturally sensitive and safe manner. Adhere to compliance standards governing patient information privacy Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
