    POSITION SUMMARY
    Wage: $21.70-$32.56
    This PRN( fill-in or as needed) position provides for the application of occupational therapy services for patients in acute care, swing beds, long-term care, home health, outpatient, and contractual areas.
     
    RESPONSIBILITIES
    Provides occupational therapy treatment follows the established plan of care and is age, educational level, and culturally appropriate to the patient/family.
    Provides occupational therapy services in accordance with the state practice act.
    Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team in the provision of occupational therapy services.
    Provides therapy services to inpatient, outpatient, home health, outreach and contract facilities as required by the Prairie Lakes Healthcare system.
    Completes timely and appropriate documentation that reflects the care provided and follows regulatory requirements.
    Establishes appropriate charges for services rendered.
    Assists with coordination of patient care schedules to meet productivity standards.
    Ensures equipment is maintained in a clean and safe manner.
    Participates in departmental quality and outcome studies
    Serves as a clinical instructor for COTA students and high school students
    Performs other duties as assigned.
     
    JOB SPECIFICATIONS
    Education and/or Experience
    Graduate from an accredited COTA program with an Associate's degree in OT Assisting. Previous experience with occupational therapy is preferred.
    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
    Holds or is eligible for licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant
