    The Role
    We are keen to connect with Psychiatry Registrars interested in joining one of Queensland's largest specialist mental health services. This opportunity is suited to doctors seeking structured RANZCP training within a major tertiary service that provides exposure across a broad spectrum of adult forensic and secure mental health settings.

    Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will assess and manage patients with complex mental illness, participate in inpatient and community care where applicable, contribute to multidisciplinary case discussions, and receive close consultant supervision. The role offers a diverse clinical caseload and opportunities to develop skills in risk assessment, recovery-oriented practice and contemporary psychiatric care.

    The Hospital
    This tertiary mental health service is a major referral centre providing specialist mental health care across South East Queensland.
    Confirmed service features include:
    • Large specialist mental health campus providing state-wide and regional services.
    • Specialist forensic mental health services.
    • Multidisciplinary model of care with consultant psychiatrists and allied health professionals.
    • Integrated teaching and training environment supporting psychiatry registrars.
    Training & Development
    Training is central to this position, with registrars participating in Queensland's RANZCP training program under the Queensland Branch Training Committee.
    Confirmed opportunities include:
    • Accredited RANZCP training position within the Queensland Psychiatry Training Program.
    • Structured workplace-based assessments and supervision.
    • Regular consultant-led teaching and multidisciplinary education.
    • Exposure to complex psychiatric presentations across specialist mental health services.
    • Opportunities to progress through the RANZCP training pathway, including advanced training in recognised subspecialties as training progresses.

    Requirements
    • Eligible for registration with AHPRA.
    • Eligible for, or participating in, the RANZCP Training Program.
    • Demonstrated interest and experience in Psychiatry.
    International Medical Graduates assessed as partially or substantially comparable are encouraged to make contact.
