Rossmoor Post Acute is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic in-house rehabilitation team in Walnut Creek.

Your Role & Impact

As a COTA, you'll work under the direction of the supervising Occupational Therapist to help residents improve their functional abilities, independence, and quality of life.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide skilled occupational therapy treatments under the direction of the supervising Occupational Therapist (OTR).

  • Help residents improve Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), functional skills, and independence.

  • Implement individualized treatment plans and therapeutic activities.

  • Monitor resident progress and communicate observations and concerns to the supervising OT.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with applicable practice standards.

  • Collaborate with nursing staff, restorative aides, therapists, caregivers, and families.

  • Provide caregiver education and support safe discharge planning.

  • Assist with home exercise and activity programs as directed.

  • Contribute to a positive, engaging, and rehabilitative environment through teamwork and communication.
