General Summary:
Under the direction and supervision of a Licensed Occupational Therapist and departmental supervisors, the Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) provides occupational therapy services to patients in accordance with the established plan of care developed by a Licensed Occupational Therapist.
Education, Licensure, Registration and Experience:
Graduate of an approved, accredited Associate Degree Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Current state licensure as a Licensed Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA/L)
CPR certification required
Prior clinical or rehabilitation experience preferred
Essential Functions:
Implements the occupational therapy plan of care as developed and directed by the Occupational Therapist.
Provides therapeutic interventions appropriate to the patient's diagnosis, age, functional level, and treatment setting.
Instructs patients and caregivers in treatment programs, precautions, and use of equipment as necessary; documents patient/caregiver understanding and demonstration of instructions provided.
Consistently progresses patient treatment activities and contributes to the development and advancement of home exercise programs within the established plan of care.
Monitors patient response to treatment and communicates relevant findings, progress, or concerns to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
Documents patient status and progression toward established outcomes at each visit using objective and measurable parameters, in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards.
Submits accurate, complete, and timely documentation and billing for each patient encounter.
Provides skilled therapy services within payer authorizations and applicable insurance, Medicare, and regulatory guidelines.
Demonstrates dependability and flexibility in meeting the scheduling needs of the department and facility.
Maintains productivity standards and uses work time efficiently to support patient care and departmental goals.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist collaborates with the Talent Acquisition Manager to manage full-cycle talent acquisition process for positions within the Fisher-Titus Health system.
Collaborates with the TA Manager to execute a recruitment strategy that includes job posting optimization, recruiting marketing channel development, job board procurement, digital and non-digital employment marketing, comprehensive recruitment campaign planning and talent planning.
Assists the TA Manager to identify talent needs and proactively recruiting and sourcing; develop a talent pool.
Utilize social media, job boards and other technical means to source candidates for open jobs via LinkedIn, Indeed, Facebook, etc.
Lead and participate in hiring campaigns by leveraging employment and college/technical schools and programs such as career fairs, info-sessions, etc.
Be knowledgeable in applicant tracking systems and other recruiting software systems/databases to track applicants through selection and onboarding process.
Provides onboarding and coaching support to leaders and new employees to address departmental and organizational needs.
Liaison between clinical education, clinical students, and talent acquisition to build relationships with educational institutions and develop a talent pool.
Develop and maintain strong relationships/partnerships with local staffing committees, community groups, etc.
