Job Responsibilities
- Implement occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist
- Assist patients in improving mobility, strength, coordination, and daily living skills
- Provide therapeutic exercises and activities to support rehabilitation goals
- Monitor patient progress and accurately document treatment outcomes
- Educate patients and families on therapy techniques and adaptive strategies
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and professional standards
- Support patients in achieving maximum independence and functional performance
Education & Certification Requirements
- Associate Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential
- Current California Occupational Therapy Assistant License required
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Previous Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience preferred
- Strong communication, documentation, and patient care skills
