    Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant

    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team at Advanced Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in New Haven, Connecticut. As a leader in short-term rehabilitation and nursing care, we are committed to delivering unparalleled quality care to our patients.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist licensed occupational therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients

    • Conduct occupational therapy interventions, including exercises, activities, and modalities, to promote patient recovery and independence

    • Monitor patient progress and report changes to the occupational therapist

    • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care

    • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatment and progress

    • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and share knowledge

    Requirements:

    • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

    • Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently

    • Familiarity with electronic medical records and other healthcare technology
