    Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) – Per Diem / PRN

    Terrace Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a compassionate and skilled Per Diem Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our dedicated rehabilitation team. In this flexible role, you will collaborate with licensed occupational therapists to provide high-quality care to our residents, helping them achieve their rehabilitation goals and enhance their quality of life.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Patient Care: Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans developed by occupational therapists, focusing on improving daily living skills, mobility, and overall functionality.
    • Therapeutic Activities: Facilitate engaging therapeutic sessions that promote physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being in a supportive environment.
    • Monitoring Progress: Observe and document patient progress, communicating findings with the occupational therapy team for ongoing treatment adjustments.
    • Education: Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, home exercise programs, and strategies to encourage recovery and independence.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with an interdisciplinary team, including physical therapists, nursing staff, and social workers, to ensure holistic patient care.
    • Equipment Management: Assist in the selection and utilization of adaptive equipment and assistive devices to support patients’ rehabilitation efforts.
    • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety and infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.

    Qualifications:

    Certification as an Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) from an accredited program.
    • Valid state license to practice as a COTA.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with patients and their families.
    • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to varying schedules.
