    Description

    Position: Occupational Therapy Assistant

    Salary Range: $31-33 per hour

    Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday (no weekend rotation)

    Overview:

    We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our team. The OTA will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality therapy services to our patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of occupational therapy principles and techniques, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a passion for helping others.

    Key Responsibilities:

    - Assist the Occupational Therapist in evaluating and treating patients with a variety of physical, cognitive, and developmental disabilities

    - Implement treatment plans and interventions as directed by the Occupational Therapist

    - Monitor and document patient progress and communicate updates to the Occupational Therapist

    - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients

    - Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and home exercises to promote independence and improve daily functioning

    - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation

    - Adhere to all legal and ethical standards in accordance with state and federal regulations

    Qualifications:

    - Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program

    - Current state OTA license

    - Minimum of 1 year of experience as an OTA, preferably in a healthcare setting

    - Strong understanding of occupational therapy principles and techniques

    - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    - Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    - Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
