Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant - NightsLocation: Johnson County Hospital, Tecumseh, NEDepartment: NursingReports To: Director of Nursing Position Summary: Performs various patient care activities and related nonprofessional services necessary in caring for the patient. All duties will be carried out by adhering to hospital policies and outlined procedures.Work Schedule: Working hours are 12-hour shifts from 6:45 pm to 7:15 am, 36 hours per week and every third weekend. Duties & Responsibilities:Answer call lights.Assists with ADLs, to include, but not limited to, bathing, personal hygiene, eating and ambulation.Maintains complete and accurate documentation.Serves and collects food trays at each meal.Passes fresh water each shift.Transports patients within the hospital.Obtains and documents vital signs.Obtains and documents intake and output.Changes bed linens.Assists in keeping the environment clean and free of clutter, in conjunction with the housekeeping department.Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.Reports changes in patient behavior or condition to the LPN or RN.Assists the RN, LPN or provider with activities such as treatments, procedures, dressing changes, EKGs, collection of urine and stool specimens and checking blood sugars.Assists in orienting patients to the room upon admission.Restocks of supplies and checks for outdates.Attends in-service and staff meetings as scheduled.Wears appropriate uniform that is clean and neat. Must observe good personal hygiene.
