Certified Nursing Assistant II - 1800 Acute (Part-Time, Day)

Certification: MUST hold at least One (1) approved certification to include but not limited to the following (any certification not in the list below must be approved by the manager/education: Certified Alzheimer's Caregiver; Certified Wound Care Associate; Registered Behavior Technician; Restorative Nursing Assistant; Certified Hospice and Palliative Nursing Assistant. Performs all physical duties of the job including lifting, bending, pushing, sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, twisting, reaching, corrected vision, corrected hearing and fine motor skills.

Job DescriptionThe Certified Nursing Assistant II (CNA) is responsible for the delivery of patient care to assigned patients under the direction and supervision of a licensed, professional nurse. The CNA II, utilizing the Jean Watson Nursing Theory of Caring and the Relationship Based Care Model, provides assistance to patients in accordance with the functional and developmental needs of each patient. Supports the mission, vision, values and expectation of excellence of the organization. Area of expertise/certification will be utilized to care for patients consistent with training and expertise.QualificationsEducation: High school graduate or equivalent preferred.Licensure: Graduate of certified program for CNAs with a current California CNA certificate. Must demonstrate and maintain current knowledge and skill in providing appropriate care for patients in the Geriatric, Adult, and Adolescent and Pediatric age groups.Skills: High level of initiative and independent work skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills.Interpersonal Skills: Interacts with patients, staff and visitors in a pleasant, cooperative, and courteous manner.Standards of Performance: Demonstrate performance by adhering to established policies and procedures and exhibiting the defined characteristics associated with attendance and punctuality.
