The Susan Wayne Center of Excellence is located on thirty-eight acres of property in beautiful Thompson, CT. Thompson is centrally located, 25 minutes south of Worcester, MA and 40 minutes west of Providence, RI. The program serves 33 adolescents with developmental disabilities who range in age from 10-21.
Our program specializes in working with youth who have experienced complex trauma. Our clinical model is grounded in a trauma informed framework called ARC. Ongoing professional development opportunities are available agency wide in a variety of human services topics. We are currently looking for a Certified Nurse’s Assistant (CNA) to join our team. In this position, your responsibilities will include scheduling and transporting student’s to medical appointments, reporting appointment findings to the nursing team, filing, ordering supplies, providing health education and teaching children about healthy lifestyle habits, and administer medication as needed.
