CNA Position Details
- Location: Seattle, WA
- Schedule: Per Diem
- Shift Length: Typically 8-hour shifts
- Shifts: Days and nights available
- Must be able to reliably commute/travel to healthcare facilities in Seattle
Responsibilities
- Observe, document, and report changes in patient activity and symptoms, including vital signs, respiration, discomfort, intake/output, weight, and bleeding.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, mobility, and range-of-motion exercises.
- Provide basic wound care and dressing changes as directed by the Registered Nurse.
- Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
- Safely assist with moving patients between beds, gurneys, and wheelchairs.
- Transport patients, belongings, supplies, equipment, specimens, and other materials as required.
- Follow facility policies and procedures as well as state and federal regulations related to patient care.
- Maintain professional and compassionate communication with patients, families, nurses, and facility staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Current Washington State CNA license
- Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hire
- Minimum 18 months of hospital experience
- Two positive professional work references
- Successfully complete and pass required background check and drug screening
- Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures
- Availability for various shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Must currently live within reasonable commuting distance of Seattle OR be willing and able to reliably travel to Seattle for work
- Dependable transportation to assigned Seattle-area facilities
