Pay Range: $23.25 - $34.00 per hour

The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.

What You'll Do

As a CNA in Pediatrics, you'll play an important role in helping children feel comfortable, safe, and cared for throughout their hospital stay.

You will:

• Support pediatric patients with daily care activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, eating, and hydration.
• Help children safely move, walk, reposition, and transfer as needed.
• Take and document vital signs and report changes or concerns to the nursing team.
• Observe patients closely and communicate important updates to the care team.
• Assist nurses with treatments and basic clinical procedures within the CNA scope of practice.
• Measure and record intake and output accurately.
• Help create a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for patients and families.
• Stock supplies and patient care areas to ensure the unit is ready to meet patient needs.
• Document patient information promptly and accurately.
• Provide clerical and unit support, including answering phones, processing orders, and assisting with patient flow.
• Support a team culture focused on safety, compassion, and outstanding patient care.

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

• Oregon Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire, issued through either American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Knowledge of age-specific growth and development principles to support the unique needs of pediatric patients.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with children, families, and care teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least one year of CNA experience in an acute care or hospital setting.
• Previous experience working with pediatric patients.
