    General Information:Job title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Medical/Surgical UnitSchedules available: Full-time 72 hours per pay period; Nights, 6:30pm-7:00amPart-time 1, 48 hr/pp, Nights, 6:30pm-7:00amWeekend rotation: Every 3rd WeekendHoliday rotation: Every other HolidayPosition Summary:Under the general supervision of the Acute Care Department Director and direct supervision of the Registered Nurse and in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures, performs CNA functions for neonatal through geriatric patient populations in the hospital setting.Position Responsibilities:Assist with ADLs: bathing, dressing, oral care, feeding, toileting, ambulation, turning and repositioning and any other duties that may arise.Administers ice packs, heat treatments, and other treatments under direction of the RNPerforms accurate intake and output, daily weights, vital signs, fingerstick blood glucose testing, specimen collection, and postmortem carePromptly answers call lights and requestsConsistently follows Infection Control Practices while in the facility in regards to patient care and cleanlinessReport changes in condition in patients to Registered Nurse.Maintains a safe and clean environment for patients, coworkers and guestsComplies with organizational and regulatory policies for handling confidential patient information.Perform other duties as requested.Position Requirements:Certified Nursing Assistant certification required.Must hold and maintain Wisconsin Certified Nursing Assistant certification.AHA BLS certification required.1+ years of related work experience preferred.Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.Knowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesIntermediate proficiency with computers is required.Comprehensive nursing assistant skills.Ability to provide compassionate care.Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.Promotes culture of safety for patients and employees through proper identification, reporting, documentation, and prevention.Attends assigned mandatory trainings/in-services.Works effectively in a team environment to provide the best care for our patients.Able to be well organized and self-motivated to complete patient care tasks both individual and as a team
