The Certified Nursing Assistant reports to and receives supervision from the Charge Nurse and is responsible for proving quality nursing and direct care to assigned residents in compliance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and established policies and procedures which encourages each resident’s ability to maintain or attain the highest practical physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.
Schedule: Full-Time, Weekdays; Weekends, 12 Hour Shifts, 7AM - 7PM or 7PM - 7AM
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide personalized care that supports each resident’s physical, mental, and emotional well-being in line with individualized care plans.
- Assist with daily living activities—bathing, grooming, feeding, toileting, and mobility—while maintaining dignity, privacy, and safety.
- Monitor and report changes in condition, skin integrity, or signs of abuse immediately to the charge nurse.
- Use proper body mechanics and equipment when transferring or moving residents to prevent injury.
- Follow infection control and safety protocols consistently, including hand hygiene, PPE use, and accurate documentation.
- Respond promptly to call lights and resident needs, ensuring comfort and timely care.
- Perform and document vital signs, weights, and specimen collection as assigned.
- Participate in care planning by sharing observations and updating notes with clear, timely entries.
- Honor resident rights, including refusal of treatment, and report accordingly.
- Engage in safety drills and maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free environment.
