Job Summary:
The CNA Instructor will teach the NYS-approved CNA curriculum that requires 130 hours of instruction, lab, and clinical hours combined. The class will meet three to four days a week during the day (9 AM-1 PM) or in the evening (5 PM-9 PM). The instructional and lab hours will be completed on campus, or an approved off-campus site, and the clinical component will be taught off campus at an approved site in Sullivan County.
This course prepares students to provide basic patient care under the supervision of a Professional Registered Nurse and/or a licensed practical nurse. Once completed, students are eligible to take the state exam to be certified as a Nursing Assistant (CNA). This position reports directly to the Director of Nursing programs.
