Provide assistance or total care for grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, transferring, ambulation, range of motion, communicating, turning, repositioning, or other needs. Lift, move, and transport residents. Maintain the comfort, privacy, and dignity of each resident in the delivery of services. Clean and sanitize workrooms, equipment, and resident units. Ensure compliance with established infection control procedures. Observe, chart, and report changes in resident condition or behavior to appropriate licensed nursing personnel. Answer resident’s requests for service promptly. Perform various tasks including vital signs, resident’s weights, applying creams/ointments, collecting specimens, etc. Float between all units depending on the need. Assumes all other position related responsibilities as assigned. Education, Training, Experience High school graduate or successful completion of GED. Successful completion of a Michigan state approved nurse assistant certification course or other education that meets state certification requirements. Must hold current nurse assistant certification in Michigan. Required Licenses, Registration, and/or Certifications Successful completion of a Michigan state approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or other education that meets state certification requirements. Must hold current nurse assistant certification in Michigan. Physical Requirements Stand, walk, bend, lift, push, pull, and assist residents throughout your shift Lift up to 50 pounds Use mechanical lifts and clinical equipment safely Maintain visual acuity and physical stamina required for resident care |
