    Certified Nursing Assistant


    Job Summary:


    We are currently recruiting for CNAs to join our Haven Nursing Center team! The person filling this position must be a certified CNA in the state of Louisiana. Residents at Haven live in units/hallways referred to as quot;householdsquot;. CNAs are essential employees of the household team. CNAs provide direct, hands-on care to residents in a long-term care setting, support residents with daily living activities, promote comfort and safety, and assist nursing staff in delivering high-quality, compassionate care. This role is essential to maintaining residents#39; dignity, well-being, and quality of life. CNAs works 12-hour shifts, providing more time off, including 3-days off, every other weekend.


    Primary Duties:


    • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs);
    • Help residents with mobility, transfers, positioning, and ambulation;
    • Monitor and report changes in residents condition to licensed nursing staff;
    • Obtain and record vital signs and other basic health information;
    • Respond promptly to call lights and residents needs;
    • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized resident environment;
    • Assist with meal service and hydration needs;
    • Provide emotional support and respectful companionship to residents;
    • Follow care plans, infection control standards, and safety procedures;
    • Document care provided accurately and timely.


    Minimum Qualifications:


    • Commitment to person-centered care;
    • Ability to life, move, and assist residents safely;
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills;
    • Compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor.


    Preferred Qualifications (but not required):


    • Knowledge and training about caring for persons living with dementia;
    • Experience working with Point Click Care clinical software.


    Physical Requirements:


    • Must be able to lift/push up to 50 pounds;
    • Must be able to lift, carry, stand, bend, squat, reach and kneel using good body mechanics for sustained periods of time.


    Additional Requirements:


    • Active CNA certification in the State of Louisiana;
    • CPR Certification (or willing to obtain prior to employment);
    • Tuberculosis screening (or chest x-ray) is required prior to employment;
    • Employee reference checks will be conducted. This may include a review of documentation related to job performance and contact with the applicant#39;s former employer(s).
