Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

A health services network in New York City is seeking a new Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join their team at one of their addiction treatment and recovery center in the Bronx.

About the Opportunity:

• Shift: Day shift and evening shift
• Schedule: Monday through Friday and every other weekend
• Hours: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM or 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM; 35 hours per week
• Setting: In-person

Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, and eating
• Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure
• Provide support during detoxification and rehabilitation processes
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Ensure a clean, safe, and supportive patient environment

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of experience in a detox, rehabilitation, or similar healthcare setting
• Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA)
• Basic knowledge of addiction and recovery processes
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards

Desired Skills:

• Bilingual (English and Spanish)
• Experience using SigmaCare
• Experience supporting psychiatric evaluations and HIV counseling and testing
