Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Apprenticeship

$16.00/hour during CNA training
After 6-8 weeks, pay based on experience in patient care.


HSHS is seeking interested applicants for our PAID CNA Apprenticeship program in partnership with Midwest Career Source to receive CNA certification (pending passed exam), followed by a 1 year, full time work commitment with HSHS St. Elizabeth's Hospital in O'Fallon, IL.

Position Specifics:
Department: Med Surg Unit or Cardiac Step Down, Telemetry Core Function: Nursing Support
Schedule: 36 hrs/wk, Full-time

Once the 6-8 week training program is completed within HSHS, you will be gainfully employed as a Patient Care Assistant working with patients in Med Surg or Cardiac/Telemetry Units within HSHS.

Education Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Experience Qualifications

• 1-2 years of healthcare experience is preferred.

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations

• Basic Life Support (BLS) is required within 30-days of employment.
• Must be actively working toward certification/licensure in field of practice.
