    Position Summary

    Looking for a meaningful way to care for others while maintaining flexibility during the week? Join our team as a Part-Time Weekend CNA for 2nd shift and play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our residents.

    In this role, you will provide compassionate, hands-on care while building meaningful relationships and supporting residents’ comfort, dignity, and overall well-being. You will work alongside a supportive nursing team to ensure each resident receives high-quality care in accordance with their individualized care plan.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Accurately document all care provided in flow sheets, notes, charts, and related records in a clear and descriptive manner.
    • Promptly report any changes in a resident’s condition to the Nurse Supervisor or Charge Nurse.
    • Greet residents warmly and assist with escorting them to their rooms as needed.
    • Participate in shift report and receive updates upon reporting for duty.
    • Follow all facility policies regarding infection control and exposure to blood and body fluids.
    • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including:
      • Oral hygiene (brushing teeth/dentures, mouth care)
      • Bathing (bed bath, tub, or shower)
      • Dressing and grooming
      • Hair care (combing, brushing, shampooing)
      • Nail care (excluding diabetic residents)
    • Provide comfort measures such as backrubs as directed.
    • Make and change beds, ensuring linens are clean, tight, and free of wrinkles.
    • Assist residents in preparing for medical tests, appointments, and therapies.
    • Support residents in attending activities and social programs (e.g., church services, events, visitors).
    • Safely transport residents to and from appointments, activities, and within the facility as needed.
    • Assist with lifting, repositioning, transferring, and ambulation using proper techniques and equipment.
    • Support residents with walking, with or without assistive devices, as instructed.
