    Job Description

    Touching Angels Healthcare, a Residential Service Agency licensed by the Maryland Department of Health, is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants to deliver direct personal care to clients in their homes under the clinical supervision of our RN Case Manager and in accordance with each client's plan of care.

    You will provide hands-on personal care, monitor and report client condition, and document your care, with all service time recorded through the state ISAS/LTSS system. Full training is provided on agency systems and protocols.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Personal Care and ADL Support (40%)

    • Bathe, dress, groom, and feed clients per prescribed protocols, and provide toileting and continence care with dignity
    • Prevent skin breakdown through hygiene, positioning, and injury prevention, and report concerns to the RN Case Manager
    • Safely lift, transfer, and position clients per the plan of care and provide range of motion exercises as directed

    Health Monitoring and Observation (20%)

    • Measure and record vital signs, weights, and intake and output as ordered
    • Observe and report changes in client condition to the RN Case Manager timely, and report accidents promptly

    Client Environment and Safety (15%)

    • Maintain a safe, clean home environment; follow standard precautions and OSHA guidelines; and respond to emergencies including CPR

    Documentation and Service Time (15%)

    • Clock in and out through ISAS/LTSS every shift and report any failed clock event the same day
    • Keep clear, complete, timely care records on the correct forms

    Client Relations and Compliance (10%)

    • Preserve dignity, privacy, and confidentiality; honor client rights; and report suspected abuse or neglect immediately
    • Perform nursing tasks only under valid RN delegation

    Position Requirements

    • Active Maryland CNA certification in good standing with the Maryland Board of Nursing
    • Current CPR and First Aid certification
    • Twelve hours of continuing education annually through assigned training
    • Minimum age of 18; high school diploma or GED preferred
    • Health clearance: annual physical, TB screening, and Hepatitis B vaccination or documented history
    • Successful completion of a criminal background check prior to hire
    • Reliable transportation to assigned client homes

    Preferred: prior home care or private duty experience; experience with transfer equipment; bilingual (Spanish/English).
