About this role:

Birth Center of Denver isthe first and only hospital-owned freestanding birth center in the state of Colorado. We area midwife-led birth center providing evidence-based,compassionateand supportive care to women and families in the Denver and surrounding areas. We offer prenatal care, customized education classes, labor support, water birth, postpartum and newborncareup to14 days.CenteringPregnancy is our standard model of prenatal care. This group-based approach to prenatal care combines belly checks with time for discussion and shared learning about pregnancy,birthand babies and is focused on building a community with other pregnant parents! 

This position includes a$10,000sign-on bonus,and$7,500inrelocationassistance.

• You will practice atthe Birth Center of Denver in Denver, CO

• You’llhave clinical privileges at the Birth Center of Denver and St. Joseph’s Hospital 

• The ideal candidate will have leadership experience with clinical experience in both birth center and hospital settings. 

• Enjoy a hybrid role with half your time dedicated to patient care, and half your time dedicated to administrative leadership 

• Your days will consist of a blend of clinic and call and will vary depending on clinical and leadership needs

Birth Center of Denver is owned by Saint Joseph Hospital andoperatesindependently as a 5-bed licensed freestanding birth center. Should any “what ifs” arise, we have the full benefit of having SaintJoe’sin our backyard, allowing for seamless transitions to the hospital if needed. Our Certified Nurse-Midwives will hold privileges at bothBirthCenter of Denver and Saint Joseph Hospital.

Whatyou’llbring:

• Graduation from an ACNM accredited nurse-midwifery education program

• Active AMCB certification

• At least 5 yearsof full-scope midwifery practice

• Active,unobstructed Colorado medicallicense, or the ability to obtain one

• Full prescriptive authority and an active DEA, or the ability to obtain one

• Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process

• Weare not able toaccept candidatesrequiringVisa sponsorshipat this time
