    Description

    What We Offer:

    Provides and documents assistance to patients with activities of daily living and maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse.

     

    Assisted Living units only: Responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living as scheduled and reporting any change in status to the Charge Nurse

     

    Shift / Schedule:  Three 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), including every other weekend. 

    What We're Looking For:
    • Education: High school diploma, required. Completion of NAI program, required.
    • Experience: One year of relevant experience, preferred.  One year required, Assisted Living facilities only: experience working in long-term care or assisted living
    • Licensure/Certification: Completion of NAI program, Required. Listed with the nurse aide registry as an NA I, Required. Medication Safety - AME, Required. NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, Required.
    • Additional skills preferred: Basic computer skills for documentation.
    What You'll Do:
    • Provide compassionate direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, mobility, and other activities of daily living.
    • Assist with patient transfers, positioning, ambulation, vital signs, blood glucose monitoring, intake/output, and specimen collection.
    • Observe patient conditions and promptly report changes, abnormal findings, or concerns to the nursing team.
    • Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, patient transport, and basic clinical procedures within scope of practice.
    • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment while following infection prevention and safety standards.
    • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to provide a positive, patient-centered experience.
