Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Certified Medication Aide to join our team for a double weekend shift. This role is essential in ensuring our residents receive safe, timely medication administration while providing high-quality care and support.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications accurately and in accordance with physician orders and state regulations
- Perform medication cart counts at shift change and maintain proper documentation
- Monitor residents for medication side effects and report concerns to nurse
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely charting
- Ensure medication carts are secured at all times (no unattended keys)
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff and team members
- Provide compassionate, respectful care to all residents
Qualifications
- Active CMA/ACMA certification (required)
- Current CPR certification
- Experience in assisted living or long-term care (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and time management
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Schedule Details
- Double Weekend: Every Saturday & Sunday
- 16–32 hours/week depending on shift length
- Opportunity for additional PRN shifts if desired
