Description
We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (MOA) to join a community-focused health center and support both the clinical team and day-to-day medical office operations.
• This is a patient-facing position that combines clinical support, patient interaction, and some administrative responsibilities in a professional outpatient healthcare setting.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare exam rooms and assist providers during patient visits.
• Obtain and document patient vital signs, health history, and other clinical information in the EHR.
• Perform venipuncture, specimen collection, and basic waived laboratory testing.
• Process laboratory orders, track results, and bring abnormal findings to the attention of appropriate clinical staff.
• Assist with routine patient health screenings and assessments.
• Follow OSHA, infection control, universal precautions, HIPAA, and other safety requirements.
• Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and primary care provider information.
• Assist with appointment scheduling, reminder calls, and no-show follow-up.
• Assist patients with patient portal registration.
• Maintain accurate patient charts, medical records, scanning, and electronic documentation.
• Assist with referrals and specialty care coordination as directed.
• Provide professional, compassionate service to patients.
• Support the overall operations of the health center as needed.

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant certification program. 
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of healthcare experience preferred.
• Ambulatory, outpatient, community health, or primary care experience is a plus.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with EHR systems.
• Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail.
• Professional, reliable, and patient-focused.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
